YOGA
Clothes: Comfortable, breathable clothes are recommended for yoga. You probably want to wear a shirt that is a little bit form-fitting, since your shirt can slide down in some of the poses. Any exercise pants or shorts will do, although it’s best not to wear slick pants that may cause you to slip.
Shoes: No shoes required. All you need are your bare feet!Mats:Your yoga mat helps define your personal space, but more importantly, it creates traction for your hands and feet so you don’t slip. Your mat also provides a bit of cushioning on a hard floor. We have mats for students to borrow. If you prefer to have your own, they can be purchased for as little as $20.Optional Equipment

Blocks: Blocks can be used to make yourself more comfortable and improve your alignment. They’re great for standing poses in which your hands don’t reach the floor.
Straps: Straps are particularly useful for bound poses if your hands do not reach each other, and for poses where you need to hold onto your feet but cannot reach them.
It is advisable to avoid eating a heavy meal before yoga class; you may eat a light snack if necessary.

ENERGETIC HEALING
DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR AN ENERGETIC HEALING SESSION?
Come as you are – you will not need to change your clothes.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER AN ENERGETIC HEALING SESSION?
1. You need to take a few minutes to lay still absorbing the energy and let all that you have received settle into completion. This is a very important part of the process.
2. Most of the time a person will feel relaxed and uplifted by a treatment. However, sometimes as a person’s vibration goes up, toxins that have been stored in the liver and kidneys will be removed from the system. When this happens sometimes a person will have a headache or stomach ache or feel weak. If this happens, it is a good idea to drink more water, eat lighter meals and get more rest. The body is cleansing as part of the healing process so this is a good sign.
3. Sometimes you may have an emotional release during or after a session. This may even happen weeks or months after your session. This loving, intelligent energy goes where it is needed whether it is on a mental, emotional, body level or spirit level. Since all are interrelated, all parts benefit.
4. When you get home, drink plenty of water. If you feel like resting or taking a nap, then do so. This is because after a session, some people begin to de-toxify. Feel free to call me if you are having de-toxification symptoms or emotional releases and we will talk about it.
