Gentle Yoga – is designed for those who prefer a class less vigorous than Yoga 1.  It includes gentle stretches and breathing as well as simple movements designed to systematically increase the range of motion of every major joint and increase energy.  This class is ideal for students with chronic symptoms such as muscle/joint pain, stiffness, weakness, or fatigue.

Yoga 1/Beginner – is an introductory class for students who are new to Yoga.  This class focuses on poses to stretch and strengthen the legs, back and shoulders.  Emphasis is give to the basic alignment of the standing poses and some seated poses.

Yoga 1-2/Continuing Beginner – is a continuation class for Yoga 1. The emphasis of this course is on refining and building endurance in Yoga 1 and Yoga 2 standing poses. It does not include the shoulder stand. The basic principles of alignment are presented. This class is suitable for students who have practiced other styles of yoga, but it is not suitable for those who have never studied yoga before.

Yoga 2/Intermediate – focuses on refining the standing poses and learning basic sitting postures, simple back bending poses, and the shoulder stand using the principles of alignment.

Kids Yoga –A fun introduction to yoga through creative movement, games, stories, art and play!!  Makes you want to join in, we know, but this class is for kids!  Parents are welcome to watch.  The classes will focus on building self-confidence and self-esteem and improving and promoting body awareness, concentration, focus and attention.  Children will be encouraged to use their imagination to visualize what the posture imitates in their environment ie. Tree Pose.  Yoga is an excellent way for children to experience healthy non-competitive exercise and it’s FUN, FUN, FUN!

Hatha flow – is all about letting go and flowing with conscious awareness through our practice.  We will focus on building from the ground up and expressing the poses through our hearts our true divine nature. This a flow class that will have you sweating that combines strength and flexibility. You will feel beautifully balanced and rejuvenated after this class!

Shakti Yoga - Shakti is the energy giving power behind all creation. This is a flow class that will break down key poses every class focusing on the universal principals of alignment. The principals of alignment are attitude, alignment and action. Every pose is infused with meaningful attention, learning to proper align ourselves, and finding the balanced action between stability and freedom. The poses are a “heart oriented” meaning the student is taught how to practice from the inside out. This class is appropriate for beginners or intermediates. Leaving this class you will feel better about yourself and very empowered!

Active Yoga – Originally developed for Ancient Thai Massage therapists 2,600 years ago by Doctor Shivago, this form of Yoga is a set series of moving postures designed to correct back pain, sciatica, develop core strength, mobilize joints, and reduce weight. Each movement is coordinated with the breath in order to engage the Pranayama Kosha (Energy Body). With mindful movement you develop a purpose to move, which unifies the mind with the body.

Precise muscle control will develop through the exercises because the aim is to soften the muscles to increase their range of motion with power instead of simply trying to stretch them. By engaging more muscle fibers you will feel less tension in your whole body, light, and free to move in whatever way you desire. You can also release the weight of stress and balance your mind effectively through Shivago Yoga. The practice will develop intense heat from the inside-out, helping you to detoxify at the same time.

This class is open to all. No acrobatic or extreme stretching is involved. We aim to balance muscular strength with flexibility to create an ideal body shape and structure for health, lifting heavy objects, power, and endurance. The digestive, respiratory, lymphatic, and circulatory systems also become balanced and more resilient to invading pathogens as well as efficient at removing waste.

Akhanda Yoga – means complete, unbroken – whole.  This holistic class will balance asana (postures), pranayama (breath work), relaxation, mantra and meditation.  Philosophy and the yogic lifestyle will be integrated into each class through the theme & discussions.  Akhanda yoga being a student centered practice will strongly encourage inner inquiry and will bring harmony and balance to your life.

Chakra Yoga – Chakras as centers of energy which are located at various points along the spine. Each sequence is carefully designed to bring them into balance and enhance your over all well-being.

Peaceful Path – Restorative Yoga, Breathwork, Relaxation, Meditation
